Fall To-Do List

Fall has always been my favorite season. I love how you don't need an excuse to bake every weekend, cozy up by the fire with a blanket and watch movies or just hang out by a bonfire. Since today is the first office day of fall, here is a list of things i'm planning on doing this year.

The Germs Lurking At The Gym

Recently I heard a study about all the yuck that hangs out at the gym - and trust me you don't even want to know what you're touching. Here are some tips to keep you from catching some nasty stuff.....

Wipe Down the Equipment Before and After Use:
If your gym doesn't have wipes keep some in your own bag to use on your skin after your workout.

Use a Towel as a Barrier:
Especially with your yoga mat so your skin never has direct contact.

Don't Touch Your Face: Even if you wipe off your equipment there's a chance the germs are still lurking. To prevent getting something like a staph infection (yeah that's super popular at gyms) definitely avoid contact with your face.

Wash Your Hands Before Leaving The Gym:
To prevent spreading germs on more of your personal surfaces definitely dont skip this!


CND released their Fall 2015 Contradictions Collection and let me tell you it’s the perfect depiction of fall.

Grommet is a navy metallic gunmetal definitely a fall must have for your edgier side.

Naked Naiveté is my favorite color in the collection. It’s a neutral pink tone and would look stunning against any skin tone.

Posion Plum brings out your inner evil villain with this moody plum jelly filled with black and red flecks of glitz.

  Rouge Rite is a berry red definitely a gorgeous girly hue.

  Safety Pin is a platinum foil.

Tartan Punk is a classic red crème. The color is not only going to look stunning in the fall but for the holidays as well. I am not a huge fan of red polish as I feel like it’s too old for me, but this one I’m kind of lusting over. 


Flair is Focus’ metallic counterpart that offers the fall glow we all desire once the days get duller. Seriously Zoya knows how to make a 90 degree day feel like the middle of fall.
  Ember is a glitzy classic red

Aggie goes for the gold with a touch of blue and green. 

Cinnamon is a stunning metallic brown and would make for a perfect accent nail.

  Estelle takes blue to a whole new level. Cobalt glitz and glam I love it pair with Sia as an accent nail.

  Giada is a deep purple.

Tris is my favorite in this collection it’s a grayish green metallic and very unique in color.


The temperatures are dropping, leaves are falling and the air is turning crisp. Fall is just a brisk minute away and Zoya is ready to steal your heart with their fall collection Focus (crème based) and Flair (metallic based).

Lets talk about Focus, which will have you wanting to throw on a blanket scarf and head to the cider mill immediately.

Charli is an army grayish green and one of my absolute favorites in this collection.

Sia is a bold cobalt blue and is my other absolute favorite in the collection

Lidia is a deep purple with a brighter quality to it.

Desiree is the perfect brown and with football season just underway I see it being used for football nail art in the near future.

Janel is a deeper burnt leaf red.

Hannah is the classic red with a touch of tangerine

Overall I am absolutely obsessed with the Focus collection. Especially Charli and Sia they'll be my fall go-tos this year for sure.

20 Tips To Get Your Booty Moving

When you work a 9-5 desk job you definitely spend a lot of time on your tush. That’s why I make it a priority to get my booty moving. Here are 20 tips to help inspire you to get off your booty every single day.

1. On Sunday, map out your weekly workout plan. Mix up your workout routine to keep yourself from getting bored. Here’s my plan for the week:
Tuesday: Yogalates
Wednesday: Pilates & R.I.P.P.E.D
Thursday: Kickboxing & Barre
Friday: Run + Strength Training
Saturday: Run at the park
Sunday: Bike ride with friends

2. Meal prep/plan for the week on Sundy.

3. Schedule workouts just as you would any other nonnegotiable important meeting or event.

4. Prep everything you’ll need the night before including your outfit and pre + post workout snack.

Set your phone alarm with a motivational message.

6. Taking classes? Sign up and pay for them ahead of time making it harder to skip.

7. Embrace Groupon and buy coupons to try out new workout classes.

8. Shorter workouts work too. You can get in a killer 20 minute workout.

9. Go for a walk on your lunch break.

10. Get your workout done first thing in the morning so your busy schedule doesn’t get in the way.

11. Find a workout buddy. Committing to meet someone makes it harder to skip.

12. Choose the same time to workout everyday. If I’m not going to classes that day I like to be at the gym by 6:15am.

13. Use attainable goals to motivate you. Even small ones like doing 25 sit-ups a day or building up to larger ones like running a half marathon (my goal)
14. Mark every workout in your calendar. This is huge motivation for me.

15. Share your workouts on social media. The positive energy you’ll receive is inspiring.

16. Reward yourself.

17. Sign up for 5k races with friends.

18. Get up for a couple minutes every hour and just stretch or walk around the office.

19. Learn to love meditation.

20. Always remember tomorrow is a new day.


I'm Only Awesome When I'm Single

Relationships are great. Someone to cuddle with, dates, random acts of kindness like flowers, taking your likes and dislikes into consideration, someone who loves and appreciates you – what could be better?
Yet somehow I’m happier when I’m single. It’s not because I like alone time or because I get my kicks playing the field – I’m not that kind of girl, but my confidence in myself wilts and my overall happiness declines when I’m in a relationship.

Why is he checking that girl out – what does she have that I don’t – wait seriously why is he checking her out?

He kissed me and then never wanted to see me again – am I that bad of a kisser?
I’m too clingy, i’m never available, I don’t spend enough time with him, he needs his space – what on earth!
Are you going to the gym? Why do you think I’m fat and I need to – let the diet and HIIT classes begin – what happened to the confident girl?
That’s what you’re wearing to bed? Ummm yeah?! Why what would you like me to wear…. Nothing?!
When I’m in a relationship with someone, I see other women who are prettier, skinnier and smarter and wonder why he keeps coming back my way. When I’m single, I don’t compare myself to other women. I honestly could care less. So why do I care in a relationship? It’s because I could lose him to one of them. I could get a text saying they saw him on Tinder and I could watch my world come crashing down in front of me. So what’s a girl to do – date and try to find love? Hope for the best and accept that I won’t be myself or continue to be single?

Living in Michigan I feel like each season I need to reset my mind and body. With fall quickly approaching it presents the perfect opportunity for new challenges and discovering ways I can test my body. Therefore I decided to create a fall fitness bucket list….
