FUN! 30 hours on a train actually sounds like a really delightful adventure to me. Even if it's horrible, the story will be well-worth it.

In college my girlfriend and I had no money but wanted to go on a vacation so we took the Greyhound to LA. We printed our tickets and the time was 26 hours, we were cracking up out of fear. The ride was absolutely horrible (I mean, it was a Greyhound) but it's one of those great memories because we were so miserable that we were making jokes the entire time.

Love your packing loot! I think it would be hard to find filing stuff too that is healthy. You seem to have a good pile going!

Looks like you're definitely well-stocked in terms of snacks! I usually travel with a backpack holding my clothes and toiletries, and a briefcase-style bag holding books, wallet, snacks and other essentials I need to keep close at hand.
