Did you know – February is Pet Dental Health Month, and 80% of dogs develop some degree of periodontal disease by age 3, which in most cases results in a high vet bill for a root canal, dental cleaning and/or having teeth pulled? Do you have a dental routine with your dog?
I buy Jack's toothbrush (I change it every month) and toothpaste (Vanilla Mint - I tried Chicken flavor before, but it really made his breath stink) from his vet.
Routine: Each night before I go to bed I sit down on the
kitchen floor and say “Jack, come brush your teeth”. He comes running into the
room and jumps on my lap.
Jack recently had his yearly vet checkup and the vet said,
“Wow, Jack has no tartar”. As a puppy parent this was music to my ears, and a
few hundred dollars that remained in my pocket.

While I have my own dental care routine with Jack, if you
don’t have one I highly recommend that you speak to your vet
