I think caramel apples are one of those things that you simply cannot pass up when fall arrives (especially after a trip to the apple orchard). The concept is simple: dunk an apple into caramel, decorate and you’re done. I used this recipe for the caramel, alternatively you could use the little ones that come already packaged and just melt them down.
{dunk each apple into boiling water for 20 seconds and dry with a paper towel}
this insures that the caramel stays on the apples

{I put paper straws over the sticks for a festive look}

oh my goodness, I want some of these so badly

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, how fun are these?? I love the trick for keeping the carmel on, I've never heard that! I might have to have a carmel apple party with my girls
ReplyDeleteSo coincidental! I just made caramel apples this weekend with my baby brother who insists he's never had them! Yours came out so pretty! We didn't decorate them since it was just for us and he wanted to keep it simple.
ReplyDeleteI think yours would be perfect as a gift to friends and family. I like your tip of boiling the water to get the waxy residue off before dunking!
omg these look yuuuuumy!! <3
ReplyDeleteYUMMY! Love the straw idea! Perfect.
