Words of Wisdom

This
morning I am scheduled to have at least one of my wisdom teeth removed, however
it could end up being all four of them. I am keeping my fingers crossed that
all goes well, and I do not end up resembling a puffy cheeked critter. I have a pile of
all of my favorite romantic comedies (i.e. Just Like Heaven, Sweet Home Alabama
and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days) and a freezer full of popsicles that will be
awaiting my return. Have you had
your wisdom teeth removed?

Good Luck!! I had them all out a few years ago and also another dental surgery (frenectomy of the lip) at the same time so it was pretty traumatic for me. One a positive note, the frenectomy was the worst part of the two.
ReplyDeleteOnce the first day or so went by, it was smooth sailing. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for an easy recovery!! Best Wishes!
I had all of mine removed at the same times and it wasn't bad at all! I was a little loopy at first from the stuff they use to knock you out, but the rest of the day I felt fine. The only problem I had was 24 hours exactly after my appointment I passed out in the hallway - apparently it happens a lot because that's when all the medicine finally starts to leave your system.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!
All of mine were removed at once. It was hard the first day but I managed. After about two days I got dry sockets and that was more painful that anything! Best of luck to ya!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I had mine removed years ago and I was down for about 3 days. The anethesia made me cry as I was leaving the office too. It wasn't horrible, but I"m a real wuss about the dentist and mouth pain.
ReplyDeleteI have, I think I slept for 3 days straight. Best of luck! All I remember is waking up and eating mashed potatoes to take my painkillers and going back to sleep.
ReplyDeleteI had 3 of mine out, my 4th never came in. I will just be honest and say that my experience was horrible but looking back, it was worth going through the pain for a few days instead of feeling it daily! My teeth hurt so bad before so that helped me get through the recovery!
ReplyDeleteI had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 4 months pregnant with my last child....OUCH!! They couldn't put me under because of me being pregnant, so all four were removed with just a local (shots). Good luck to you today, and I hope all goes well for you. It sound like you have yourself prepared for the after party.....
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I had them all removed many years ago and just remember sleeping a lot and eating lots of ice cream and having popsicles! Hope everything goes well!
ReplyDeleteOh sweetie, I hope all goes well! I had all four of mine removed a few years ago. I slept a lot and it was fine. You'll do great! Take advantage of it and eat all the good stuff, like popsicles. ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope it all goes well for you! I still have all four of my wisdom teeth, and though they hurt a bit coming in, they haven't had to be removed yet. Fingers crossed that stays true, since I am a major pain wimp!
ReplyDeleteHope everything foes smoothly! I had all four taken out in high school and it was uncomfortable but I pretty much just slept it off for a few days. I'm sure you'll be fine.
ReplyDeleteI had all of mine taken out and it wasn't that bad. After a day or two, you will feel pretty good, hopefully! I hope it goes well without much pain, and that you enjoy a few days of downtime! I love all Reese Witherspoon's rom-coms!
ReplyDeleteI have my own permanent chair at the dentist...
ReplyDeleteI had two of mine out in high school. It was a painful month I had them done halfway between my monthly braces tightening. Other than that it wasn't bad
ReplyDeleteI hope yours went well.
I hope you are recovering okay! Mine are out and I didn't think it was so bad.
ReplyDeleteHope everything went well! I have never had my wisdom teeth out so I don't know how it feels! Sounds like you have the perfect recovery remedy lined up :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! You poor thing!
ReplyDeleteI had my wisdom teeth out and I don't remember it being too bad. At least you got the proper reinforcements (chick flicks and popsicles :))
Hope your doing well! I just had my wisdom teeth removed a few weeks ago! The recovery as a little slow but just keep up with the ice packs and get lost of rest! Hope your doing well.
