Step 1: With the sheet entirely inside out, place your left hand into any corner, and your right hand into the next closest corner.
Step 3: You now have two corners in each hand. Bring your hands together and flip the corners from your right hand onto your left hand, making sure all the seam corners are touching.
Step 4: Grab the right edge, and gently shake the sheet, allowing the elastic edges to fall toward you. Lay the sheet onto a flat surface. Note: make sure the left and bottom edges are straight and square.
Step 5: Fold in thirds length wise.
Step 6: and into thirds once again.
Step 7: Smooth out, and be proud of your awesome work!
Note: I always fold my flat sheet with the wide edge showing so I can tell them apart.
Great tutorial! I love an organized linen closet! Have a beautiful day, Kellie xx

ReplyDeleteI HATE folding fitted sheets. They never look right. When I was younger I swore that I would grow up and marry a man who would fold my fitted sheets. Or get a maid. Neither has happened. ;)
ReplyDeletethat is certainly neater than my method of balling them up and shoving them in a closet.
ReplyDeleteI've always balled them up until my teacher recently taught me how. This tutorial is great!!
ReplyDeletehaha I am totally that girl that rolls it in a ball and throws it in the closet!

This was very informative! I always have trouble with folding them. I didn't know you were 4'11! Don't feel bad, I'm only 5'1!
ReplyDeletemuch better than my current method I call the twist and shove ;)
ReplyDeleteI still can't figure this out! lol! I need a video!
ReplyDeleteVery good to know. I'll most likely never take the time to do this, but if I need to impress someone down the line, this is good to know. Thanks! :D
ReplyDeleteBrilliant tutorial. I always try so hard, get mad and roll it up into a ball and shove it in my closet. Can't wait to try to finally do it properly :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I learned a method in college but forgot how that folding went. This is a great trick.
ReplyDeleteMy mom attempted to teach me... visual certainly helps!!

ReplyDeleteThis is seriously impressive.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great post! I had no idea what I was doing before. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI learned how to fold a fitted sheet using Martha Stewart's tutorial - she describes it differently but it looks the same as yours from step 4 on. Seriously I think it is like one of the best skills I ever learned :) I used to HATE folding sheets because the fitted one always looked like a mess, but now I love looking at my organized linens!
ReplyDeleteWe have the same method.;D
