Friday morning I will be boarding a train for a 30 hour ride(YIKES!) to New Orleans. I never like packing bags, but this trip I really did not like packing for. I had to omit clothing and shoes in order to pack food, a sleeping bag and a travel pillow. What are your travel essentials?
{colorful ribbons that help me identify which suitcase is mine}
{my great aunt taught me how to crochet a new stitch so I can mix things up on the train}
{face and makeup essentials}
{some snacks for the train ride}
no food cart on the train - it's hard to think of food to bring that is healthy and filling.

Have a safe trip! Make sure to have tons of fun.
ReplyDeleteFUN! 30 hours on a train actually sounds like a really delightful adventure to me. Even if it's horrible, the story will be well-worth it.
ReplyDeleteIn college my girlfriend and I had no money but wanted to go on a vacation so we took the Greyhound to LA. We printed our tickets and the time was 26 hours, we were cracking up out of fear. The ride was absolutely horrible (I mean, it was a Greyhound) but it's one of those great memories because we were so miserable that we were making jokes the entire time.
Love your packing loot! I think it would be hard to find filing stuff too that is healthy. You seem to have a good pile going!
You'll have to tell us all about your trip when you get back! I love riding the train. You get to see so many things that you normally wouldn't see, but 30 hours is a bit much.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing about your train ride!
