{Reese Witherspoon}
I am not a huge fan of her dress however her hair and makeup are both my absolute favorites.
{Mila Kunis}
Loved her makeup, and I didn't love the boob covers sticking out. I loved the dress color against her skintone.
{Anne Hathaway}
Anne's makeup lately has been absolutely flawless and she definitely didn't let down with this beautiful look.
{Gwyneth Paltrow}
{Scarlett Johansson}
Hot Mess?!
{Sandra Bullock}
{Natalie Portman}
 {Amy Adams}
 {Mandy Moore}
{Jennifer Hudson}
{Hilary Swank}

the at home Oscar party

In college my roommate was obsessed with celebrity gossip, and I was obsessed with celebrity beauty and fashion. Put those traits together and every year we were able to throw the biggest and most fabulous Oscar party on campus.

Since the Oscar's are tomorrow her and I have complied for you how to throw your very own at home Oscar Party.

The Oscar's are all about celebrities and fashion so it's time to bring that glitz and glamor into your own home this year.

{the red carpet ready cocktail}

The Red Capet Ready Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Tequila
  • Half oz. Orange Liqueur
  • 3 crushed raspberries
  • A splash of cranberry juice
  • 1 lime
  • Golden caster sugar
  • 1 orange

Directions

1.Wet the rim of a tall martini glass using a wedge of orange and rim the glass with golden caster sugar.
2. Add Tequila, lime quarters, Orange liqueur, cranberry juice and the crushed raspberries to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously.
3. Strain the contents into your sugar rimmed martini glass, and garnish with a small wedge of orange.
The Dress
When picking out what you'll wear to an Oscar party you want to make sure it's something that will show off your best assets. Do you have an Ann Hathaway back? If so have your dress be backless. Want to accentuate your curves try a wrap dress.

The "Fab" factor
While your dress is gorgeous you need a little accent to your outfit so try a statement necklace, large headband, cocktail rings or statement earrings.

The Makeup
It's your time to shine so wear makeup that will get people talking. From a dramatic eye look like Nicole Richie has or gorgeous hot pink lipstick like Sandra.

OMG SHOES!
We all know shoes are an important part of the overall look. Those stilettos will give you added height that make you look taller, but slimmer as well. Don't want to spend money on shoes? Take a pair of black or nude heels and clip on a pair of statement earrings or a flower for some added glamour.

Hair
When it comes to achieving a look hair can make it or break it. For instance if you have a beautiful ball gown type dress don't go for the sleek pulled back pony-tail. It will completely ruin your look. You would want to try more of a weddingesque up-do. Remember your hair should compliment your outfit.

Nails
You want your nails to be seen, but not be the center of attention. Light colors and nudes are popular with light color dresses or to play it safe. If you are wearing a bold red dress make your nails either one shade darker or lighter of that red.

Party ideas
• most girls dream about getting their picture taken on the red carpet. So set up a photo station and ask a friend to come take some glamour shots at your party.
• Always have a signature cocktail
• serve some fabulous goodies
• send everyone home with a little goodie bag
        one year our goodies basket for each guest included
                   • a bottle of nail polish
                   • a mini nail grooming kit
                   • lip gloss
                   • photo album for the party photos
                   • directions for making the Oscar signature cocktail on a magnet

Here is the favorite signature drink that we served
Pretty in Pink
1 1/2 oz vodka
3/4 oz triple sec
3/4 oz cranberry juice
1 oz fresh lime juice

Pour the vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and lime juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, strain into a cocktail glass that has been rimmed in pink sugar, and serve.

Will you be throwing a party?

Five Things

I absolutely love bronzer and peach looks best against my olive complexion. So LORAC Hot & Spicy which is a peach shimmer and a light bronze shimmer is my absolute favorite blush and bronzer.
I am sure many of you can relate to the fact that winter takes a toll on the nails. Personally mine become very brittle. Perfect Formula's Daily Moisture is the only thing that is keeping my nails strong and healthy.

This is a serum that helps to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and improve texture. Anything to keep my face looking fabulous I am all about, and this is my new favorite product. I have seen a lot of improvement in my skin.
I am not big on lipsticks, but sometimes lip gloss just makes me feel kiddish. h.wood beauty definitely understands this and that is just one reason why I am loving their products. I am currently loving the Lip Shine Stick in Poppy. It comes in a lipstick tube however it is almost like a lip gloss just giving you a beauty shine. LOVE IT!

I am a long time lipstain lover, and a long time hourglass cosmetics lover so when i saw that they had a cheek stain I knew I had to give it a try. Basically it was the greatest thing to ever happen to my cheeks!

Flawless Mascara

Mascara lovers I have just discovered a product that you are going to wonder how you ever lived with out it.
The Lash Card, is a disposable "card"that has two curves which have been specifically designed to fit a variety of eye shapes.

So What's the point of the Lash Card? You hold it against your lashes while you brush your mascara through to curl and separate them. This trick has been used forever, however usually its with a business card.... which most likely has bacteria and other unpleasant things on it, and do you really want that on your eyes? These are for one time use, so no worries there just flawless perfect lashes.

 (the above pictures are not me they are off the Lash Card website)

You can get your very own Lash Card pack here for $5.99. Each Lash Card pack contains 10 cards.
Buy one for you, your best friend, your mum...seriously buy one for everyone you will be in love!!!

Don't Mess With Texas...... the OPI collection

 {I happened to have a Don't Mess with Texas shirt laying around that a friend bought me}
OPI has come out with collections such as France, Hong Kong, Swiss...etc. Well OPI has come "home" to the USA and has created a timeless Texas Collection. The colors are iconic to images of an American summer.

From the company that brought revolutionary nail textures such as suede, matte and Black Shatter OPI has come out with a new special finish which has a semi-transparent sorbet style. This revolutionary Sorbet Style is featured first in the Texas Collection by OPI which is their Spring/Summer 2011 line. The colors are the perfect lacquers to give fingers and toes a lightly glossed appearance.

The Sorbet lacquers were hard to take a picture of because of their glossed appearance. Below you'll find a color wheel that features all of the sorbet shades. This is exactly how they appear. So when picking out a color go by my wheel more than my nail swatches.

{from left to right: Y'all Come Back Ya Hear?, Guy Meets Gal-veston, Big Hair...Big Nails, Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em, Do You Think I'm Tex-y? and Houston We Have a Purple.}

Do You Think I'm Tex-y? is a beautiful raspberry shade. Definitely will get you into wishing summer was here.

 {Houston We Have a Purple}
Houston We Have a Purple is red-violet shade. As soon as I saw it I immediately thought of a juicy plum.
