Pretzel Sparklers

While growing up I watched my Mummsie create homemade baked goods for the holidays. For me homemade desserts are always better than those bought at a store. While I may not be at home anymore to share in the treats that my Mum creates I am now on my own -  creating my own "perfect holiday". I absolutely love the salty and sweet mixed taste of baked goods, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that one of my favorite desserts is chocolate covered pretzels.  I decided to make some "pretzel sparklers" to be placed in a hurricane vase and displayed for the Fourth of July.

Pretzel Sparklers
To make two dozen, place four ounces of chocolate or white chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Stir occasionally until melted; remove from the heat. Dip your pretzels in to the chocolate covering 1/2 to 3/4; pour on sprinkles and lay on a waxpaper covered cookie sheet. Place in the refrigerator until firm, about five minutes.
