Ingredients
• 12 oz. Dr. Pepper (NOT DIET)
• 1/2 c. ketchup
• 1/4 c. lemon juice
• 1/4 c. orange juice (I used Trop 50)
• 2 Tblsp. BBQ sauce (I used Original Open Pit)
• 2 Tblsp. brown sugar
• 2 Tblsp. worcestershire
• 1 Tblsp. Molasses
Directions
• Mix all ingridents together in a pot. Simmer until thick 45 minutes to 1 hour.
*note: this bbq sauce is meant to be used on the bbq for the best flavor. It taste completely different once it's been on the bbq then it does from the pan.
What a creative and tasty barbecue sauce!

ReplyDeleteI actually found a 'Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce' in a store and tried it out. It really didn't taste special, but maybe your recipe is better. Homemade usually is :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard about people making both coke and dr pepper sauces- such a neat idea!
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy, albeit not the healthiest sauce! :P
