  2. Great idea! I can't wait to see all of the recipes. You are such a sneak with that FB question - it worked out well for the salad challenge and for this. Smart lady!

I replied on FB and here is one recipe to start:

    Cajun Shrimp Stir Fry
    • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
    • 1 tbsp Cajun spice seasoning
    • 2 tsp canola oil, divided
    • 2 green peppers, seeded and cut into strips
    • 2 red peppers, seeded and cut into strips
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • ½ cup white wine
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
    • Hot sauce to taste
    • 2 cups cooked brown rice

Toss shrimp with Cajun spice seasoning and set aside. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a large skillet and and sauté peppers for six mintues over medium-high heat. Turn heat down and add minced garlic, stirring constantly so that garlic
doesn’t burn. Remove peppers and garlic from pan, wipe pan out with paper towel.
Return the pan to medium-high heat, add heat to remaining tsp of oil. Add shrimp and cook approximately 3
minutes, stirring frequently. Add wine, lemon juice, peppers and garlic and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Season with hot sauce; serve over cooked brown rice.

This is taken from the clean eating magazine, so healthy and so delicious. Loads of flavor!

  9. the one thing that i serve at parties that goes first? Mommy Crack. Its easy. Its got 3 ingredients and its yummy. you will need a slow cooker

    Ingredients:
    1 lb of breakfast sausage
1 oz block of cream cheese
    1 jar of spicy salsa

Directions: cook the breakfast sausage stovetop and crumble it up. If you have a slow cooker, dump everything into the slow cooker and cook on high for 30 -55 mins or until its hot and bubbly. serve with veggie sticks and crackers. its awesome!

and another good recipe is mini fritattas. or healthy mini quiches
Fill a muffin pan halfway with a mixture of eggs, diced canadian bacon, chopped broccili and sprinkle with your favorite cheese. Roast at 400 for 5 minutes!

  10. Love this idea.

The one recipe that came to mind right away, we call in my family Pineapple Delight.

It's a quick and delish no-bake pie that I take to alot of gatherings.

I don't use exact measurements but it goes a bit something like this.

    Ingredients:
    1 graham cracker pie crust
1 can of crushed pineapples, drained well
    1 large banana
1 pudding mix (vanilla, banana or cheesecake flavor) prepared as directed on box for pie filling
    1 container of cool whip

    Directions:
Layer in the crust from bottom up-
    banana slices
    drained pineapples
    pudding pie filling
    topped with cool whip

Quick, easy and oh so delish. Aslo depending on your ingredients, can be made very low-cal, low-fat and low-sug.
