Finish this sentence: When I need a little pampering I….

Slap on a face masque, book a massage, take a bubble bath, go to the spa or maybe you get a facial? What makes you feel like you’ve been a pampered princess?
With the recession kicking some of our booty’s we can’t afford to go to the spa to feel fabulous.

Don’t worry I have some fabulous at home pampering tips!

Bath Bombs!

Before bath bombs people would use beads, salts and cubes that you could add to bathwater. You could still add any of those to your bathwater, but I have am kind of addicted to bath bombs! I love the aroma that bath bombs bring to the bathroom, and usually they turn the bathwater brilliant colors.

Here are some of my favorites!

Sex Bomb by Lush Cosmetics $6.95

Eucalyptus Bath Bomb from Best Bath Store $6.95

Need a moment of zen?

How about a hot steamy bubble bath by candlelight?

Some of my favorite candles are....

My absolute favorite candles are homemade in Michigan!! They come from Holly Candle Shoppe, and are fabulous. They are soy based, and made in small batches which insures amazing fragrance and flavoring! If you want candles that are going to burn great, and have an excellent aroma Holly Candle Shoppe in Holly, Michigan is where you want to buy from! Check out the site here. You won't be disappointed!

Sunset Beach from WoodWick they're about $24 for the large size

You can also add some salts to your bathwater as well. Bath salts stop you from pruning, and aren't as harsh as bubble bath can be.

When I just need a zen moment I use Detox Bath Salts from The Best Bath Store. Their Detox Bath Salts soothe aches and pains! Plus they contain Eucalyptus essential oil which produces a cooling effect. I now live by these bath salts! They make me feel absolutely fabulous and rejuvenated. It retails for $14.95

Exfoliate

Exfoliating is one thing that always helps me feel like I have been pampered.
I absolutely LOVE sugar scrubs for exfoliating! A good sugar scrub can help skin naturally glow, and it won’t clog your pores!

Some of my favorites are….

Black Currant Vanilla from Bath and Body Works $16

Birthday Cake Batter Ice Cream Sugar Scrub
by Dylan's Candy Bar $20

Brown Sugar Body Polish by Fresh $38

Warm Vanilla Sugar
from Bath and Body Works $15

I love masque too!!! But I have a huge masque post for you coming up soon!

When I need a little pampering I hold a "tea ceremony" for myself with one of my very pretty cast iron tea pots from Teavana and matching tea cups. I drink tea and read a book and feel like I am a true princess.

When I need pampering I usually go for a manicure and pedicure, or even a facial. For a quick pampering I love using warm vanilla sugar anything!

I am absolutely addicted to woodwick candles! I have to have a large one on my coffee table burning every single day once I get home from work-bliss!

To feel pampered I like to get a massage, pedicure, etc. I've never had a facial so I'm thinking I need to try that soon!
